SPEAK OUT!
SPEAK OUT! By Parkinson Voice Project is a non-profit program that helps people with Parkinson's regain and maintain their ability to communicate.
Based on the teachings of Daniel R. Boone, PhD, CCC-SLP, a world-renowned speech-language pathologist and voice expert, this program will teach those affected by Parkinson’s to teach with intent while also strengthening muscles used for speaking and swallowing.
The program consists of 12 individual sessions across 4 weeks where the speech pathologist and client will work together to implement intentional speech.
After Speak Out! is complete, clients transition to the second part of the Parkinson Voice Project’s program called The LOUD Crowd. This maintenance program consists of weekly group sessions led by a speech-language pathologist.
